Where?

where shall i go after bundling in sheep skin and wool
after pouring hot water into rose petals and leaves
after letting my hair hang dry and softening my skin
where shall i go
will the sun keep shining in stark array
and the golden grass sharp and cutting to the blue sheet behind
where shall i go if it all looks the same
where shall i go
where shall i go if i forget to bring a map
walking aimlessly into the west like a miner or an indian
walking slowly to listen for coyotes, birds and snow
where shall i go
will i find the thing i search for
if any beauty there will it be forgotton or captured
where shall i go if i lose the picture for the distraction
where shall i go
