A Story About a Kiss

One night I kissed you deeply
In front of Christmas lights
We turned on the radio to "listen"
Headlights frightened us as they came

We kissed so I can't remember
But the breathing and your touch
Your hands and face are mine my dear
And so is your love

I kissed you to tell you something
As much as a kiss can tell
I wish we could be much closer
For now we sit and wait

I hope this kiss is timeless
We'll say "remember when"
We sighed and made it lovely
Just two kids letting it show
