I don't even understand pine

You said you loved her
More times than she cares to remember
And I wonder if you're just jaded with the confusion of "love"

It's a bad case found in those who don't get what they want
And throw caution to the wind, whatever they need
You're just unsettled.
You're just a boy.
Nothing lets you forget the most expensive toy

So you pine and you pine and dammit you pine
And you beg and plead and paw
But you've forgotten a girls burn
How she runs for the deadly
She loves to be forgotten, it sharpens the play

She's over your eyes because you look too often
She's over your body because it's all for her
Your service is a commotion and your songs fall on dead ears
Your love grates on her heart, poor soul

It seems to being a losing game, catering to another
