A Dreary Rural Love

Go up on your hill
Is it still what you dreamed of
Look at all you built
Do you still put it the centre

You hold me closer when your sad
And you're sad when it rains
I've learned to love a man
Who forgets his own child's name

If the valleys could talk
What would they say to mend our love?
If our bodies have fears
Will they still be here when we die

I'm getting tired of this sun
It's wearing me out
I think you know
I'd rather be in the house

You take a walk every night
There's no one for miles
But baby how could I know?

You like to know things that I don't
But I don't learn much anways
So we don't doubt
